Air Curtains
Powerful and effective overdoor heating used to create an air barrier between internal and external spaces for commercial units.
Get in touchEnergy Efficient Air Curtains
GDHV’s range of recessed and surface mounted air curtains have been designed to offer energy savings with low levels of investment. By creating an “invisible door”, air curtains maintain heated or cooled air within a specified area. The air curtain can dramatically reduce waste energy whilst allowing unhindered access between spaces.
Ease of Installation
Air curtains in the GDHV range are easy to install and operate. They are electrically fed and do not require additional heating or water infrastructure.
Efficiency
GDHV air curtains can save up to 30% on HVAC running costs and help lower building carbon emissions. Eco-mode can also be set, if required, offering a 50% running cost reduction. The efficient operation of GDHV air curtains can contribute to an improved building energy rating.
Testing
GDHV air curtains are tested for energy efficiency and noise levels in real-life conditions. Witness testing can be arranged to confirm product suitability and resolve project specific queries. An eco-energy test has been conducted with high-street retail stores to confirm the carbon emission reductions and energy efficiency increases of correctly specified and installed GDHV air curtains.
Application
Air curtains can be used in a variety of commercial applications. They can maximise the energy efficiency of cold rooms or heated entrance lobbies and retail units whilst providing safe, unobstructed and inviting access. The air barrier can also keep dust, debris or other contamination out of the building.
Controls
Wall controls, with thermostatic regulation as standard, can be connected with up to ten units. Door sensor, dual door control and passive infra-red sensor modes can be installed to offer further energy savings. GDHV air curtains can offer a full interface for Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) for a better integration with the overall energy management of buildings.
